December Wine Tastings and Special Hours

All About the Bubbles: Friday, Dec. 14, 4-6 p.m.

Noel Blackledge of Quench Fine Wines will be showcasing sparklers for all occasions and price points. Sip on some Spanish Cava, California brut cuvée from Caraccioli Cellars and bubbly from Bolney Wine Estate from England – one of the hot up-and-coming regions in the fizzy category. Pair these with effervescent-friendly nibbles like potato chips embellished with crème fraiche and caviar… Don’t knock it ‘til you try it!

2017 G.D. Vajra Langhe Riesling, $38
This citrusy 100 percent Riesling hails from the Piedmont region, where it was fermented and briefly aged in stainless steel. Fewer than 700 cases were produced. The nose flashes a hint of petrol while the palate is juicy with notes of pears and barely-ripe pineapple. Chicken and turkey boasting warming and savory winter seasonings are ideal foils for this wine. It pairs nicely with seafood as well.AND, DON’T FORGET…
