WINE SPOTLIGHT

2017 G.D. Vajra Langhe Riesling, $38
This citrusy 100 percent Riesling hails from the Piedmont region, where it was fermented and briefly aged in stainless steel. Fewer than 700 cases were produced. The nose flashes a hint of petrol while the palate is juicy with notes of pears and barely-ripe pineapple. Chicken and turkey boasting warming and savory winter seasonings are ideal foils for this wine. It pairs nicely with seafood as well.AND, DON’T FORGET…

Wine Tasting: Fridays, 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 3 to 4 p.m.
Check the ODV Wines Facebook and Instagram pages for what we’re sampling.
